When you need numbers in words
Legal documents, cheques, and invoices often require amounts written out in full to prevent fraud. Bank cheques write "One thousand two hundred thirty-four dollars and 56/100" because it is harder to alter than numerals alone.
Ordinal numbers (first, second, third) are used in rankings, dates, and sequential references. This converter handles all irregular ordinals (first, second, third, fifth, eighth, ninth, twelfth, etc.) automatically.
Year format reads years naturally: 1984 becomes "nineteen eighty-four" rather than "one thousand nine hundred eighty-four."
